Spread across 30 magnificent acres (14 hectares), this fortified cortijo stands as a living testament to Andalusia’s past. Built shortly after the Reconquest and later restored with absolute devotion to its architectural soul, La Casería preserves centuries of history with elegance and authenticity. Its restoration was so remarkable that it earned the European Heritage Award (Europa Nostra) in 2009 — a recognition reserved for Europe’s most outstanding cultural treasures.
La Casería unfolds around three enchanting courtyards, blending historic Andalusian character with contemporary comfort. The main residence offers eleven elegant en-suite bedrooms, complemented by a separate guest house with six additional rooms, ensuring space and intimacy for every occasion. The estate boasts an olive grove, ecological vegetable garden, asparagus plantation, and open grazing meadows, offering the essence of Andalusian country living from farm to table. Retreat
La Caseria can accommodate up to 40 people. Bigger groups can stay in the close-by town of Ronda or Málaga. There is plenty of space to accommodate various events at the same time making everyone feel at home. Our resident house-keeper Lucia and her team offer delicious home-cooked meals, decided upon your arrival.
